Margarita Quihuis

Our speaker for May is Margarita Quihuis, who will talk about global trends and how they will impact our lives economically and professionally. She says this will be a storytelling, observational, anecdotal, and interactive conversation as we ponder these issues and why we should care.

Margarita Quihuis is co-founder of Open Capital Network, a foundation and venture fund aimed at developing technologies for emerging global markets. She has a parallel focus on social and economic trends and disruptions and how they influence the adoption and demand for ne technologies. Among her many achievements, she has been Executive Director of the Women’s Technology Cluster, which specializes in helping launch woman-founded high tech companies; a consultant to the US State Department on entrepreneurship; and founder of 1st Wednesdays, the network for women in venture capital. She holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University.
