What is your 140.6 challenge?
October 29, 2015 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am PDT
Free – $20.00In today’s fast-paced and demanding workplace, we need to embrace constant change and risk as positive things, as opportunities and possibilities for companies we work for, businesses we own, and for ourselves. We often feel stressed and overwhelmed, and not able to rise to all that is being demanded of us in our work and personal lives. In this talk, Fortune 50 executive, leadership coach and multiple-Ironman finisher Bobbie LaPorte will share what she has learned in her journey to becoming an Ironman, and the 3 keys that will instruct and inspire other women to meet the challenges they face.
Whether you are just starting out in your career, several years into it or a senior executive in your company, Bobbie can help you figure out your “next best step”, and do it in a way that also allows you to have a balanced personal life as well.
Bobbie is well-known and in-demand for her coaching, consulting and presentation services across the high-tech industry. As a thought leader on how to handle challenges of all kinds, and an endurance athlete and multiple-Ironman triathlon finisher, she understands how today’s professional women can benefit from the strategies and disciplines of athletes, including perseverance, mental toughness and resilience. But she also is an evangelist for the idea that your job is what makes everything else in your life possible—what you do for yourself, your family and your community.
Bobbie’s career includes senior leadership roles at Fortune 50 companies like IBM, CitiGroup and United Healthcare, as well as two technology startups right here in Silicon Valley. But the two things she is most proud of are completing her first Ironman triathlon at the age of 53, and her passion for rescuing senior Golden Retriever dogs.
