Jan Pendleton will speak about writing and publishing fiction, and will read from her current work at the February 23 TMD meeting. Since speaking/reading last year, she has completed a novel and published two new short stories.

“Boarders” has just come out in the current winter issue of the Antioch Review. “Angels” will appear in this spring issue of the Alaska Quarterly Review. Her novel, ARTICHOKES, is being considered by agents. She is currently working on a linked-story collection and another novel.

She has published more than thirty short stories in The Antioch Review, The New England Review, The Alaska Quarterly, The Quarterly, Quarterly West, Storyquarterly, Noon, and a reprint in Brown University’s Impossible Object. Based on her publications, The New England Review has nominated her for a tuition scholarship at this summer’s Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in Vermont.
