From Black and White to Color: Exploring Life in the Age of Globalization

October 28, 2004 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am PDT

Molly Morgan is a peace and social justice activist currently living in San Diego and Point Arena, California. In the late 1990s she left a successful 20-year career in the computer graphics field to pursue more social change work—”without,” she says, “even knowing exactly what that meant.” For the past six years she’s been on an intense journey that has taken her from the streets of Seattle to deep inside the soul of humanity to try to understand what she—and all the rest of us—need to do at this pivotal time in human history.

Will human beings survive into the next century? Many people are afraid the answer is no unless we make dramatic changes in our lifestyles. Others believe this is baloney, that thing always work out in the end. Still others think we are moving along an inevitable, if not divinely ordained, path. And perhaps most people don’t even know what the issues are. Molly will share her own story as well as the insights and perspectives she’s acquired about globalization, the economy, and building a world that works for all.
