Persis M. Karim is an associate professor of English and Comparative Literature at San Jose State University, where she teaches literature and creative writing. Persis is the editor and a contributing poet forLet Me Tell You Where I’ve Been: New Writing by Women of the Iranian Diaspora (2006) and co-editor and contributor for A World Between: Poems, Short Stories and Essays by Iranian Americans (1999). She’s written numerous articles on the emergence of Iranian Diaspora literature and is at work on a scholarly study of Iranian American literature.
