Santussika (formerly Laura DeYoung) is a Buddhist nun. She will talk about the journey of the heart that has brought her to a life of renunciation and simplicity. Her former life and work involved: earning two master’s degrees, developing a successful career in software design with a long client list including names like Xerox and HP, presenting her research at international conferences and contributing to a book entitled “Bringing Design to Software,” raising two children, marrying and divorcing four times, traveling around the world, and having everything she wanted-or thought she wanted.

“Santussika” means contentment. She will talk about how we can cultivate contentment wherever we are, whatever happens, however bad things get, and some lessons she has learned in her journey about life.
